Abode Inspection Services Inc. provides thorough building inspections of Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Construction Phase, and Multi-Unit buildings of all ages. Our service area includes Ottawa/Gatineau, and the surrounding environs.
Regardless of the building's nature, the inspection process provides a marvelous opportunity for you to learn about the property's structure and systems. We highly encourage you to join us to see conditions first hand, and ask any questions you may have.
Full Inspections
Full inspections are often obtained by clients who are purchasing or leasing a property, and want to gain an understanding of issues present which affect safety, structural integrity, habitability, high cost repairs, and general state of maintenance.
Increasingly clients are obtaining inspections prior to marketing a property, in order to uncover issues which may be of concern to a potential buyer.
Full inspections are also obtained by individuals who simply want to learn more about the building in their possession, and to generate long/short term maintenance plans.

Spot Inspections (Problem Specific)
Spot inspections can be performed where the client is not interested in having the entire building examined, but only a limited area which is causing them concern. Water in your basement? Dispute Resolution & Expert Witness Assistance
Abode inspectors have a deep knowledge of acceptable industry practices, backed up with a long history of working with the legal community on building related disputes. If you become involved in such a dispute, ABODE will work closely with you and/or your legal representation. Reporting
Abode Inspections uses a 52 page report form of its own creation, which has evolved (and continues to evolve) out of addressing decades of client concerns. As such, the report allows a comprehensiveness and versatility not found in most "over-the-counter" reporting systems. Off-site word processed reports can also be generated if necessary, at an additional fee.
During the majority of inspections, your report is completed on-site and given to you immediately upon completion. We also provide telephone support services to answer any later questions, whether related to the inspection or some other matter (e.g. maintenance inquiries). There is no additional charge for this service. Our copy of the inspection report is held on file for seven years, should you wish to discuss it at any time simply give us a call quoting the report number.
